Did you know that in Italy about 20,000 children and teenagers live with type 1 diabetes? It is an autoimmune condition affecting the pancreas, but thanks to an attentive healthcare team and social support, it does not prevent a life completely similar to that of their peers.
On Saturday, May 16, right in the Gathering’s exhibition area, we are pleased to host the stand of Insù – Associazione Giovani Diabetici Sezione Trieste ODV.
The association will be present throughout Saturday to introduce their work and, in particular, to present the new group active in the Isontino area, created as a local reference point for families and children living with this condition. At their stand, you can discover numerous initiatives promoted in collaboration with diabetologists, ranging from school camps to learn how to manage tools like insulin pumps and sensors, to essential training days for educational and school staff.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday in the exhibition area to learn about their projects and discover how, together, we can always take a step forward.
